There has been an issue on the detection of heavy metals in several ingredients used for BB cream. Therefore, six brands of BB creams that were distributed in Korea were selected for measuring the content of heavy metals. The analysis was performed on As, Cd, Pb, Sb, Ni and Tl with ICP-MS, while analyzing Hg for three times by using mercury analyzer. Based on the experimental results, they were all turned out to have heavy metals in the level below the allowed limit. The content of Pb turned out to be higher as similar as the criterion in the BB cream of M brand compared to the products from other companies. The reason was assumed that the component named "talc" was applied making the content of Pb increase. There was a small amount of Tl in four products. However, there is a need to review the criteria for limited content of Tl.
