Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 재난 후 공동체 탄력성이 노인 우울증에 미치는 영향 및 사회적 지지가 이 관계에서 매개효과를 갖는지를 검증하는 것에 있다. 국립재난안전연구원의 ‘2018년 재난피해자 패널조사(3차년도)의 원자료’ 중 876명을 분석한 결과, 첫째, 종속변수인 재난 경험 노인의 우울증 수준은 전체 노인 우울증 수준보다 높았다. 둘째, 재난 경험 노인의 우울증은 공동체 탄력성 및 사회적 지지와 부(-)의 상관관계로 나타났다. 셋째, 재난 후 공동체 탄력성은 노인 우울증에 영향을 미치며, 매개변수로서 부(-)의 요인으로 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 재난 경험을 한 노인에 대해 재난 후에도 심리 상담 및 치료 프로그램을 제공하고, 재난으로부터 안전할 수 있도록 공동체 탄력성 및 사회적 지지망을 구축 및 강화해야 하며, 전국적으로 지역사회의 특성에 맞는 노인 맞춤형 재난 대비 계획을 수립하고, 재난에 따른 사후관리 시스템을 강화해야 한다 등을 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze whether community resilience is a factor affecting elderly depression after a disaster and what mediating effect social support has in the relationship between these variables. The research subjects were 876 people from the 2018 Disaster Victim Panel Survey (3rd year) collected by the National Disaster Safety Research Institute. As a result of the study, first, the level of depression in the elderly who experienced disaster was found to be higher than the elderly in Korea. Second, the depression in the elderly by disaster was found to have a negative correlation with community resilience and social support. Third, community resilience after disaster was found to be an independent variable for elderly depression, and social support was found to be a mediating factor, each negatively affecting the dependent variable, elderly depression. It was suggested that psychological counseling and treatment programs should be provided to the elderly who have experienced disasters, community resilience and social support networks should be built and strengthened to ensure their safety from disasters, and customized disaster preparedness plans for the elderly that fit the characteristics of the local community and post-disaster management systems should be strengthened.
